Response to: Most important for new believer to learn

I vote no to each of the above. I truly believe each believer needs to "know" God, I mean really "know Him. That includes His power, attributes, love etc. I've found so many long time Christians who really don't know Him. They may know "about" Him, but have never progressed to "Knowing" Him. The current church is so into technology with video, power point etc. that people have stopped bring their Bible to worship, and further have not been taught the empowerment of personal Bible study. Again, many churches have stopped adult Bible study classes altogether in favor of the "numbers racket", "get'm in and fill and fill the pews" with little attention to "knowing Him. Rom.1:16-32 is all about those who have forsaken God in favor of their own lusts [this passage is primarily in regards to unbelievers, however, many "Christians", (not knowing Him) have also forsaken Him] being caught up in sinful lifestyles. The only way this can happen is more emphasis on Bible study, both personal and corporate, and teaching with emphasis not on lecture but dialog in small group settings. By doing this all the above list will be accomplished at the same time.
